SMGL-2699 War Merit Cross 1st class KVK 1 Flock Fake

These flocks have been fooling collectors and dealers for years. They are really well done, and you could argue they are made better than many originals. This one is unmarked, but sometimes they are found marked L15 and possibly others. There are a few tells with these, but the easiest is the “cut out” on the pin at the top near the hinge. This same hinge can be found on Flock fake Iron cross second class. The wreath is also very detailed and not particularly like anyone else’s. A good case study and actually not a bad item to have in your collection to compare. Also, this would make the best possible low cost re enactor badge.
