German Swords

Germany has had an obsession with swords well before the Third Reich and can be traced back to the ancient sword smiths in the city of Solingen Germany. The city became the world hub of quality edged weapons. Solingen blade smiths were selling swords to military's all over the world in the modern era. With the great depression, the economy in Germany was in shambles. However, with the build up of the Third Reich era Germany military, Solingen was soon thriving and indeed driving a large part of the German economy again.

German swords are a more affordable area of the hobby as the prices have not seen the same rise as their dagger counterparts. So generally speaking, you really get a lot for your money with the more common swords.
