Description
If you are putting together a minty NSFK uniform, this is a MUST. If not, and you just want an EXTRA FINE investment grade item, this is a MUST.
I tell ya, this is the best one I have seen. Its in issued in my opinion. All the lines and edges are straight as the day it left the factory. The maker is the highly sought after Clemens Wagner. The sweat band is in good shape, only showing wear from people pulling it down to inspect the construction. The eagle is the correct and original piece to the kepi. The blue grey fabric is near mint with only the smallest signs of mothing. This piece is a home run for any serious collector.
If you are not familiar with the NSFK here is a brief history:
German Third Reich NSFK: The National Socialist Flyers Corps, was a paramilitary organization of the Nazi Party that was founded on April the 15th 1937. A?successor to the German Air Sports Association, the latter had been active during the years when a German air force was forbidden by the Treaty of Versailles. The organization was based closely on the organization of the Storm Troopers and maintained a system of paramilitary ranks closely associated with it. A similar group was the National Socialist Motor Corps. During the early years of its existence, the NSFK conducted military aviation training in gliders and private airplanes.?Many pilots were transferred from the NSFK into Nazi Germany?s newly formed Air Force (Luftwaffe). All personal?were also Nazi Party members, this gave the new Luftwaffe a strong Nazi ideological base in contrast to the other branches of the German military, who were composed of ?Old Guard? officers from the German aristocracy. The NSFK were also used to transport Jews and homosexuals into concentration camps. General der Flieger Friedrich Christiansen was NSFK ?Corps Leader? from April the 15th 1937. until June the 26th 1943, followed by Colonel General Alfred Keller until May the 8th 1945. German Third Reich NSFK Kepi.
