Description
Italian WW2 Model 1933 helmet.? In 1933, Mussolini?though that?the Italian soldier?should have smarter looking uniforms and head gear, and so he introduced?this style of helmet for his troops in 33, This became standard issue. The helmet shell exterior is a very dark brown green and devoid of any dents or cracks. Some?minor rust along right ouside?of helmet, which doesn’t hurt it. The leather liner is all present, and still retains its dark brown color, with some minor cracking. ?It appears that someone tied a shoelace in place of the original drawstring. The leather chinstrap is present,?and again, somewhat supple, and in?fair shape.?For the right person who collects Fascist militaria, or Italian WW2?Militaria, this would make a nice addition. These are getting difficult to find in large sizes and with original chinstraps.?Size 59. We were advised that the chin strap and liner might be a replacement, so we have discounted the item.
