SMGH-14 M-42 Single Decal Heer Helmet *SOLD

*REDUCED* Original M-42 painted in an extremely attractive?shade of?light olive green. Some very minor rust to the shell inside and out, but that’s what keeps this helmet interesting. The Wehrmacht decal rates about 90%, ?has faded a very small amount over the years, and has a touch of minor surface rust coming through. The leather liner is original to the helmet, and with some minimal wear, as the leather is a bit stiff, but all there. Its?also?nice to see the original drawstring present. The leather is in great shape, ?and a bit stiff. The chinstrap is maker marked on the straps end, but the lettering is a bit difficult to make out. It appears to read “NO KIND 1942 PRAG. R.” The inside rear of the skirt is stamped “2338 and the inner left skirt is stamped ET60. Interesting to note that this is an extremely small sized helmet as the shell is sized 60, and perhaps one helmet that may have been issued to a child or preteen during the war! If your a helmet collector and have various sizes in your collection, this is a keeper, due to the small sizing of this one, and complete with all the bells and whistles a helmet collector looks for.
