SMGK-01 US WW2 Machete *SOLD

This machete has seen some usage and was acquired directly from a coworkers father who served in WW2 on the Pacific Islands. Machete has some light pitting all across the blade, but the blade hasn’t lost the shine, and is sharp as hell. No scabbard on this one. Blade measures 18″ and is US marked and dated “1943”. Manufacture marks are “TRUETEMPER”. Overall length with handle is 23″. Black Handle is in great shape. These were made famous by Sea bees and Marines who fought in the Pacific during WW2, to aide them through some of the deep heavy brush and terrain in the Pacific Islands, and also proved to be a devastating combat fighting implement on Iwo Jima. These machetes also saw use in ETO as well. Great veterans estate trophy.
