Description
This is an original WW2 pilots two sided survival map printed on silk. Dated 1944, this map measures 19 x 24.5, and is loaded with vibrant colored details of the Philippines. These waterproof maps were used by WW2 pilots and carried in the pockets of their jackets in case they were shot down and needed to be rescued. Silk map includes the island Palawan, Calamain Group, Mindoro, Cuyo islands, and the mainland. There is a small cup stain on one of the lower corners, as if someone set their coffee cup on It. Just adds to the originality of it. Aside from that, this is a neat little piece and in great condition devoid of fraying , rips or tears.
