SMGM-3641 Japanese Naval Dirk

This dirk has a really killer ray skin grip that was polished to look like little glass beads. Super nice look. The grip mums look great and are secure on both sides. The scabbard is a nice smooth shagreen in dark relief. Some wear but still nice. the fittings are all brass with some oxidation on the lower scabbard fitting. The lower scabbard tip does come off and needs to be reglued and fastened. It is a snug fit and won’t fall off if you leave it, but it’s not really the right position as it sits. The blade has some small nicks in it and shows some light oxidation and typical wear. The scabbard lock works perfectly and has a nice positive click when you close it. Maybe not a perfect dagger, but a really nice looking one in my opinion.
