Description
This Is a nice dagger for the money. It’s not perfect but displays very nice. The scabbard shows some light oxidation to the upper and lower fittings. They are plated steel as you would expect on a later piece. The painted scabbard is in really good shape, however it has been repainted at some point. Who ever did it, did a very good job as it is very close to a factory quality job. the grip has a dark stain on it. the grip is in good shape but does show some wear and chipping. The eagle is zinc and in good shape outside of some light wear. the SA roundel is damage free and also has some light oxidation. The plated guards do show that the finish is starting to “pop” with little oxidation bubbles. The blade shows some light oxidation on the motto side that has clearly been polished a bit to remedy the issue. The other side does not show the same surface oxidation remnants but shows a light polish, likely done to match the other side. The nice thing is that the polish job was done very lightly so the cross graining is still present and is very nice looking on the RZM side. So it’s not a perfect blade but it is still very attractive. A nice lower priced SA dagger to get your collection started.
