SMGO-0024 U-BOAT BINOCULARS LEITZ BEH 7 X 50 KRIEGSMARINE

A rare set of Kriegsmarine binoculars with hard-to-find KM marked case and weatherproof lense covers. The binoculars are in amazing condition, a testimite to the case protecting them for nearly 80 years. The protective rubber shows no damage on any portion. Really impressive to see as there is usually something wrong with the rubber. The optics look clear with just a small bit of contamination visible. The strap is in great shape as well and seems to be original from what I can tell. The case is in excellent condition with some minor wear and tear. It functions as it should in all regards. The catch/lock still has some elasticity believe it or not. However, the leather tab is beginning to break away at the metal key hole gromet. This is really the only major issue with the entire combo. The rim of the main compartment is Maker marked beh and dated 1944. The top is deeply pressed with the national eagle and “M” which designates it as a Kriegsmarine issue item. The leather hinges and strap tabs on the sides are all in great condition.

A really choice item for the German Navy collector.
