SMGO-0481 Eickhorn Model 1695 Leopard Head Sword

While the Model 1695 does have the same guard as the Wrangel & Blucher, it has a different head more “Puma like” and commonly referred to as a “Leopard head” and is not part of the field marshal series. It is however a desirable sword especially in the full brass version like this. There is some polishing residue in the recessed areas, but you could tend to this with a soft bristle tooth brush if desired. There is a small chip missing one of the glass eyes but is not noticeable unless up close. The grip wire is tight and there are no chips to the grip. The blade is in near mint condition. There is light wear and some very small edge nicks but no rust to the chromed finish. A typical quality Eickhorn item overall. The scabbard is dent free and has the original paint. Comes with a nice appropriately worn in portepee.  32.5″ blade
