SMGP-0748 Nazi SA Kepi For Hessen Region

This is a soft type with no reinforcements. I heard this described as a “garrison style”. It’s soft enough to be folded and put in your pocket. The brim is ridged and has been folded before. There is significant wear to the sweatband. Inside is stamped size 58 and the owner “E.Otto.” The silver button has a few dents in it. The eagle appears to be early tombak with two top prongs. One of the chinstrap buttons is missing and a US style clutch pin was used as a temporary fix.  There is no moth damage to the navy blue felt but there is a small hole under the eagle. The felt appears to be hand sewn.
