SMGP-125 Ahnenpass (proof of Aryan Lineage) *SOLD

Out of stock

Under the Nazi regime the Ahnenpass was used to certify German citizens’ ‘Aryan’ lineage. It contained information about the bearer and traced their ancestors back four generations. The Ahnenpass became particularly important after the Nazis issued the Civil Service Restoration Act on 7 April1933, which stipulated that those who were not of ‘Aryan descent’ were not allowed to hold government positions and had to be fired immediately. You also would have needed this to get into the SS.? This one is well filled out, so so serious time and research must have go into it. The swastikas are blacked out in order to comply with the post war ban on the symbol. This is common to see with these as families still referenced them for their records.
