SMGP-449 SS cross guard Set Group III marked *SOLD

I believe this set to be miss matched, although each is solid nickel, they have a slight color variation from each other. The casting marks also different. They did come off at Gottlieb Hammeesfahr dagger, so the lower III marked guard would have been correct. This would also be the correct Mark for Boker, Eickhorn, Herder, Klass, E Pack and Jacobs. The “O” mark inside leads me to believe it is truly only a perfect match for a Hammesfahr or E.Pack. The upper guard has casting marks “st.” which would have been appropriate for a variety of other makers. Dagger firms bought parts from various suppliers, so you be the judge. Together on a grip they variation is not noticeable.
