These Blut Un Boden medals are really tough to find. Blut un Boden (Blood and Soil) refers to an ideology that focuses on ethnicity based on two factors, descent blood (of a folk) and territory. It celebrates the relationship of a people to the land they occupy and cultivate, and it places a high value on the virtues of rural living. This version is for a 1939 event and measures 38mm across. It is a very dark copper alloy. It is really gorgeous. I have not seen one this color before.
