An original period copy that was give out to all officers. The letter has the famous phrase “NOTHING IN HELL MUST STOP THE TIMBERWOLVES” and has the copied signature of General Terry Allen. the letter speaks of fierce fighting a famous battles. including Cologne and the Ruhr pocket.

From the family of  2nd LT B-17 Bombardier Richard Fetter. Fetter was assigned to the 92nd Bombardment Group (H) Army Air Forces on August 25th 1944. He survived the war and completed 35 Bombing missions over Europe including Berlin, Leipzig, Dresden, Nurmburg, Cologne and many others. He was awarded the Air Medal with 5 Oakleaf Clusters. It is unknown why Fetter had Timberwolf post surrender documents but he may have been reassigned after he was no longer needed as an active bomber crew member.  Or, perhaps he had a friend or relative in the Timberwolves.
