SMGO-0858 Rare High Leader Velvet Podium Banner 50×51″

Uber rare High Command or high leader Podium banner! These velvet made banners were reserved for special events/places with special speakers or for people in high positions. Although there is no story with this one, these are always taken out of special places. This velvet is a deep burgundy color that really stands out. The red velvet is actually two pieces and its sewn so well that its hard to tell from the front. The silver border is a material that looks almost like reflective tape from afar. Up close we see it’s not quite the same, but it would have been an expensive material back 80+ years ago. The swastika is multipiece and sewn onto a white roundel. Again, not a cheap silk screen style. There is a small hole in the swastika. The velvet is near perfect with minor wear. The fringe is metal bullion. The banner must have been permanently attached to its mount, as it had to be cut off. This is evident in the canvas support loop being cut. this is really a remarkable banner, and I was in awe when i went to the seller’s house to get it. Im sure you will like it as much as I do.
