800 and German silver smith marked crown and moon. A simple case not over embellished like we see with junk from Poland. The inside says “4PPB” which is an acronym for “4th Prussian pioneer Bataillon”. With a date of 1.5.28-1.12.29, likely the officers service time over this unit. Signed , officer corps 4th Prussian Pioneer Battalion. the catch operates as it should. No dents.
Neat stuff and great for a pre war or interwar collector!
