SMGO-1522 Hitler Youth knife by Tiger w/damage

A popular maker with collectors due to the tiger logo. This one came in with a wiggle in the blade and upon further inspection I found the top grip rivet slightly ground down as well as the grip plate and there is a hairline crack as well on the same side that might not show up in the photos. So, trying to identify the source of the wiggle, i pushed the rivet back out since it clearly was done previously and no further damage would be done. In doing so, I discovered that the blade tang seems to be in good order. Even though i did not touch the lower rivet and could not remove the grip plates, i was able to see the prongs on the HJ diamond. This was nice to see and indicates not too much tom foolery was afoot here. The wiggle appears to be coming from slack in the tang/hilt fit at the top. I assume a youth member caused this by throwing or prying with the knife. The scabbard is in great shape with fantastic leather and handle snap. So, it displays very well and might be the cheapest Tiger HJ, that still looks good, you come across because of these issues.
