SMGO-1632 German Pre WWI S71/84 Bayonet Unit Marked

Crown W proofed and dated 88 (the year of the three Kaisers). The leather on the scabbard is in great shape and the staples are firmly in place with just a bit of wiggle on the scabbard tip fitting. The upper fitting is unit marked. There are no unit marks on the bayonet itself. The blade has no maker mark and has some deep oxidation pitting at the tip that was cleaned up many years ago. These bayonets are becoming harder to find, so if you need one for your collection don’t wait on it!
