SMGP-0459 Hitler Youth Knife by RZM M7/56 C. D. Schaaff

A really nice example that I doubt was used much and possibly never issued. The leather is in like new condition and the blade seems to be unsharpened by the owner having the original factory sharpened edge. It does show plenty of wear from time and moisture. The grip diamond is damaged free and has a bit of play in it that we like to see. This is unfortunately evidence of some type of repair. We can see a very fine and professionally mended crack on both sides of the diamond on the grip panel. The rivet heads on the opposite are a bit larger than we normally see, indicating a possible repair. The work seems to have been done by a skilled hand and at first glance you can’t even see it.
