These enamel signs were made with a few word variations for business to put up outside to let others know the business was German owned. This would have been a very important sign to have on your door during the rise of the Nazi party and persecution of Jewish owned businesses. Naturally, after the war, they were ripped off and destroyed because it then became in the business’s best interest to not be affiliated with the former Nazi party. So, these are very rare and they usually have the same damage pattern as this one from being pried off the wall or door in haste. There is a bend to it with stress cracks as well as chipped enamel where the nail holes are. As these were modeled after the Nazi Party badge, they make a very nice centerpiece for a Party Badge display case.
