SMGP-2898 German Military Keepsake trench art box

Hand carved wooden box about 4″x2.75″. Simple metal pin hinge. Depicts a dove carrying a letter over laurel or olive branches which to me symbolizes peace. This came in with a collection of pins and badges but i have no direct provenance. “Vinnytsia” is a city in western Ukraine and “winniza” i believe is the German spelling.
