SMGP-1347 RAD Hewer by Ed Wusthof *SOLD

It is a real pleasure for me to offer this amazing condition dagger out of my personal collection. I was checking out the competition to really see how good this blade is, and let me tell you, I cant find one that’s as good as this. These blade usually have severer to moderate oxidation marks on them. This particular example was so well cared for, that there is almost no signs of oxidation. there are some very small spots, but I mean you really have to look for them. The motto is perfectly crisp with the natural darkening from the acid etch still amazing looking. Many times the motto is polished out and looks the same color as the rest of the blade, not here! The early nickel hilt is 100% with ZERO signs of lifting or oxidation. There is still the original factory darkening on the cross guard! The blade on this is so good, I had a hard time shooting it because of the reflection! It’s not even chrome plated!
The scabbard is dent free with only the slightest amount of wear, showing off the brass base metal beneath the nickel plating. Also, the original darkening is really eye catching. The black paint is original and shows old age spidering and some moderate paint wear, which does not distract from the piece in my opinion. Unless you find a dagger straight out of the factory in the original package, you are going to have a tough time upgrading this!
