SMGP-1473 RZM NSKK Dagger by WKC (M7/42) *SOLD

Well, I don’t usually offer parts daggers for sale. They usually get broken up and sold for parts. This one, I thought not, as it has a bunch of nice things going for it. Firstly, the scabbard is really a gem with a ball tip that has no dents on it. The shell has the original paint that’s really in great shape showing only small signs of underlaying oxidation. Moving on to the WKC blade, its not too bad, but it does appear to have been spruced up a bit. I would imagine there was some oxidation that was removed. The cross guards, are the scarce aluminum type and are marked E.W. when you take the dagger down. Although aluminum guards will be found on late period RZM daggers, I do not believe they should be on a WKC piece. The grip is an early style with the nickel eagle. While we might be able to say “well maybe WKC needed to get some guards from the EW foundry” (and that’s a stretch), the grip is absolutely incorrect for this piece. The condition over all is excellent. So if you want to save a chunk of change and can deal with the issues described above, this is a good choice. Keep in mind, all the parts are all from the 3rd Reich era.
