SMGP-1592 NSDAP Banner 56″x44″ Wurttemberg stamped *SOLD

Well, as common as NSDAP party banners can be, it’s easy to find yourself a decent one in the $250-$350 range. This one is a bit tougher to come by, being the size more similar to a podium banner, but double sided and without the tassels. The construction on this example is absolutely top of the line, using fine quality black fabric for the center swastika, 5 piece total fabric construction, reinforced top edge and chrome plated brass hanging clips. I mean as far as construction, these don’t get any better. The condition is fabulous as well with only minor soiling and wear. No major holes to speak of and all the stitching is excellent. On top of all that, we have a property stamp for the state of Wurttemberg! You rarely see these flags with nice stamps like these. This stamp really sets it above the rest and it makes sense why the quality is so high, being a state owned example, likely used in a political building. It has paper work stapled to it from a previous antique shop. The paperwork says ” The flag that flew over highwalburg taken down by S/Sgt Emile LePage”. It might be fun to dive into the note a bit, but you know what they say, buy the item not the story. Might turn up cold or bogus as far as the note goes.

Regardless, if you are looking for a great size flag for display that’s not too big, in great shape and stamped…this is a winner!
