SMGP-1650 Ortz Level NSDAP Visor *SOLD

I think you will find this visor to be a nice value. It has a few issues that keep the price down, but it still displays fantastically. It shows a typical zinc wreath which has lost its gold wash, very common on these piece, or anything zinc for that matter. The cockade is a separate piece from the wreath so it would be possible to up grade the wreath if you were lucky enough to stumble upon one that’s fully gilded. The Cockade enamel is 100%, just a little dirty, could be cleaned up if desired. The cap eagle appears to be the aluminum variety and retains 100% of its finish. It is a three prong version although the manufacture seems to have chosen not to secure the lower prong to make the eagle stand more vertical. The felt and cloth seem to be in great shape with no mothing or major problems outside of some average wear and tear. We do have an issue with the blue ortz piping in this example. It appears the area where the steel piping bead is connected to each end has worn down, likely do to a separation of the two ends at some point. The factory mending collar seems to be fine, but we still see the worn through area on the wearers left side. Inside the had we have a extremely nice condition sweat band, intact celluloid diamond and a complete RZM tag. Out side of some staining, its a very desirable inside. We do have some separation of the visor bill, which looks to be an easy repair as nothing is actually ripped.
So, that being said, if you are looking for an Ortz level visor that will display nice, is 100% correct and is under $900..this is a very nice option. I don’t think it will last long.
