SMGL-1989 Tropical Heer Buckle unissued by Heinrich Arld *SOLD

This is a near mint condition buckle, marked “H.A 41” (Heinrich Arld. NOT Aurich). The construction is steel with green paint and an interesting layer of varnish or lacquer. This additional layer was painted on after the initial production and assembly. Presumably as an anti corrosion layer. This brushed on layer has protected the buckle remarkably well, as we can see from the condition. The webbed tab is also in perfect condition. A killer buckle for the advanced buckle collector or DAK fan boy!
