SMGL-2090 B&A Luftwaffe Souvenir dagger *SOLD

These ?B&A? marked daggers are really appealing for the price. It?s not accurate to call these reproductions.They were assembled from 1946-47 by the ?B&A? firm using genuine surplus war time made parts. The Scabard and blade are obviously made post war in order to complete the daggers. The ?B&A? firm was not a known war time producer and leather scabards were not authorized for this dagger. As true with all ?legal? post war exported items, the blades are stamped ?Germany?. There really is no effort to deceive with this piece, you must take it at face value. GI?s wanted souveniers and someone saw the profit potential using existing surplus parts. The finishing isn?t as good as a war time maker but i think they are surpizingly well done. The scabard has nickel type fittings and the leather is a little rough at the tip, showing some seperation a the seam. At this price you could use it for parts! This one is in fantastic condition showing minor wear and just some minor blade oxidation. These daggers tend to sell fast, so don’t wait.
