SMGL-2243 Mid period Political Cap eagle *SOLD

These mid period eagles are super tough to find as they were only made for a short while. I think they are the best looking eagle out of the three. It has a similar look to the earlier ones but is larger and the wings are a little more angular. This one has had the prongs intentionally removed and three holes professionally drilled in the eagle so that it could be mounted with thread. This was a common practice for the eagle to have a more “flush” and proper appearance on a cap. A nice find for the eagle collector, and a must for anyone trying to restore a mid period cap. About a 48mm wings span. RZM marked M1/8
