SMGL-2281 First Class War Merit Cross with Swords by Deschler Marked “1” in Tomback

Tomback made crosses hold their finish and look better over time, and they are less common as they were general produced earlier in the war. This one is a nice example with some varying types of patina present. The un evenness would be attributed to how this was found, in a bag that was in a wall for 75 years with other medals and gear. All in all, this is a very nice cross with swords for your collection.
