SMGL-2589 Eickhorn Derfflinger Pattern Sword *SOLD

This Eickhorn exclusive in the field marshal series is rather tough to find compared to others. This pattern was seldom ordered, with officers opting for lions head style swords more often. It is also hard to find them with a full brass hilt such as this. The majority available seem to be aluminum, which though lighter, show there base silver aluminum when they wear and I think are less attractive then a similar condition brass version. This one is solid all the way around with no major issues. The brass hilt has no major dents or blemishes, just typical wear with about 50% of the original gilding intact. The chrome blade is 32in in length and in great condition with no rust, major dings or major scratches. It just has light runner wear. The over all sword length is 37inches without and just under 39inches with the scabbard. The scabbard has no dents and it’s original paint. There is some minor oxidation the scabbard. Overall, think this is a good find at a reasonable price considering the low numbers of brass hilt Derfflingers out there.
