Description

A massive near 100 page memorandum on the most important trial in our history. This is an original duplicate made for those participating in the trial in one form or another. Much of the information is clerical and procedural pre-trial information pertaining to processes that lead up to the trial and daily functional guidelines. A truly fascinating  look into the history books here. The Memorandum is broken down into 27 separate  subjects. Each of these was stapled together and then they were all paper clipped together. Unfortunately, the iron in the staples completely oxidized and damaged the corners. They had to be completely removed in order to scan the pages and prevent further degradation.  Some of the interesting subject listed: “N0 3. Routing cases, Atrocity Reports, and Communications.” “N0 6. Processing of wanted reports, distribution of wanted lists and detention of lists, and PW detention.” “No 13 case file control” “No 14 United Nations war crimes liaison Detachments” “No 18 Gathering and processing of Enemy Documents” “No 19. Processing of reports of war crimes and investigations of war crimes involving only nations of other governments” “No 25. Extradition” “No 26 General policies and practices @ war crimes trials” “No 27 SOP re Release of Detainees and Withdrawal of wanted reports”.

Several pages are actual forms that were needed to be copied and filled out for furloughs and other permissions.

A really fantastic and rare document set that can really shed light into the background processes of this historically significant event. A must have for a historian, museum or someone preparing do a historical documentary.
