An authentic post war signature on a copied page from a reference book. One of the more famous knights cross winners, or at least, one of the most active doing appearances after the war. This signature is dated 1990. He died in 2008

Gerhard Hein (9 July 1916 – 6 June 2008) was a highly decorated Oberstleutnant der Reserve in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. The Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
