SMGL-2655 Frankreichs Schuld Map

Excellent double-sided propaganda map, 22 x 29.5 in. unfolded, offered as a supplement to the NSDAP propaganda magazine “Illustrierter Beobachter” (“Illustrated Observer”), depicting France on one side and its overseas colonial holdings on the other. Most notably, when folded, the map displays a derogatory representation of the French empire beneath the title “Frankreichs Schuld” (“France’s Gulit”). France is represented by an overblown stereotypical representation of an African colonial soldier with his arms crossed and a French tricolor attached to his rifle bearing the motto “Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite”. Behind him stands a stereotypical depiction of a Jewish banker, as well as Free French general Charles de Gaulle and a second colonial soldier.

This one is well used and the map has begun to seperate at the creases. “Buff.Getr”?? written by hand on the cover.
