SMGM-3596 Japanese Naval Dirk Late Period

This dirk has a celluloid imitation type ray skin grip with some type of glue in the wire wrap recesses. The typical flower or mum in the center has been lost. All brass fittings with the exception of the lower scabbard fitting that is a plated celluloid that shows some cracks. The leather remains in good shape. The scabbard lock does not catch the cross guard properly and would need to be adjusted to function properly. The blade is relatively good condition but shows abrasive cleaning and sharpening. The blade is just under 9 inches with an overall dagger length with scabbard of 15.75 inches. A nice lower priced option if you are looking to test the waters with these dirks.
