SMGM-3765 Fire Police Helmet with Balken Kruez

size 56 marked liner. This helmet has been repainted many years ago. To me, it looks like a period job. The swastika is hand painted nearly perfectly and there is also a balken kruez on the other side which is also done very well. Why is the Balken Kruez there is anyone’s guess. A civilian wearing this would have had more artistic liberty so maybe this guy was attached to an army battalion as a contractor or something. the chin strap is broken and badly dry rotted.
