SMGM-4117 Full Length Police Clamshell Bayonet by Eickhorn

A very rare un shortened bayonet at the full 17″ blade length! The blade is in near mint condition with only the slightest signs of wear and some tiny dings to the edge. The grip plates, look great with no issues and the aluminum police eagle shows some minor wear and sits just out of plumb. The eagle does have a little play in it but is securely fastened. The rest of the kilt is looking good with only some minor wear. The guard does show some evidence of having a serial number intentionally ground off for atheistic reasons. It would have been neat to see it match the scabbard throat that is S.K.o.T. 182. The scabbard is remarkably free of major dents, bends or cracks and only shows surface wear and rub marks. Very impressive to find like this. The scabbard tip has a little bit of play but the staple is original and has not been messed with. It should not be a concern for the new owner. The brown frog is in remarkable condition and would be tough to upgrade.  This is one of the best bayonets I have ever had to offer.
