SMGN-0287 M-42 Heer Helmet

This helmet has been lacquered by the vet who brought it back with the intention of preserving it. The lacquer has dried out and yellowed, making the Heer decal look like a Kriegsmarine gold eagle. You can see on the one side of the eagle where the lacquer has chipped away from the decal. The skirt is marked 66 on the left ear and 022 on the neck. The liner is in pretty good shape but the tie string is a moder replacement. The chin strap is damage. The helmet shell is dent free.
