SMGN-0771 SA Dagger by E. Pack Ground Rohm

This dagger has a really well executed professional grind and polish job. You have to look at it closely to really tell, but there is a light grind mark that run perpendicular to the blade edge and just the tiniest wave close to the logo which is a slight height difference in the metal. The whole blade is polished carefully to match while not polishing out all the factory cross graining. Really tremendous and skilled work! The fittings are all nickel silver as you would expect and the guard is marked NrH. The pommel nut is more than finger tight and shows no evidence of being taken apart with tools in the last 50 years or better. A nice even patina on the nickel is present, indicating that it has not been cleaned in many many years. The scabbard is dent free but does show a lot of smooth oxidation. The fittings are in good shape and the ball end is amazingly perfect! A period correct nickel clip, marked Assmann,  adorns the leather strap. The strap likely doesn’t have much life left in it unfortunately.
