SMGN-1751 Order of the Yugoslav Flag First Class Grand Cross of General Mirko Jovanovic

A silver ten-point star composed of clusters of five smooth rays, the obverse medallion presents a textured silver five point star with smooth gilt rays in each quadrant, a central blue, white and red enamel flag sits in the center of a silver gilt wreath atop the silver star, reverse presents a single pin assembly with three central rivets, measures 83mm, weighs a whopping 148 grams! Enamels intact, oxidation to silver rays, overall, very fine condition. Included is the hard-to-find ribbon bar with Grand Cross Red Star enamel.

This was part of the full collection of awards from General Mirko Jovanovic. Of course, there is really no proof of this outside of my word and the word of the original seller…but it did come with some very rare awards, so there is little doubt that it was his.
