SMGO-0347 German Red Cross Leader Dagger

A scarce leader dagger! A good condition scabbard with no dents and minor oxidation. The worst spots being on the bend of the center hanger band and the top hanger band. The blade is in very good condition, having no oxidation and just some light wear and some evidence of some oxidation that was remedied long ago. There is small nick on the blade that isn’t very noticeable. The guard looks to be in great shape with no major issues. The pommel is also in good shape and does show evidence of being disassembled bit the star nut is not butchered, and all seems  correct. The grip as you can see has a two tone look to it. The lighter areas were under the portepee and darker areas exposed to UV light and have darkened over time. There is a hairline crack that is at the bottom rear of the grip that seems to be very old. It shows no signs of breaking off and is structurally sound. I do believe it was glued in place a long time ago. Perhaps not a perfect dagger but still a very nice one!
