Description
The Officers DRK (red Cross) and the Officers social welfare are identical with one small exception. The social welfare has round holes on the scabbard suspension loops and the Red Cross has rectangular. The daggers come un marked. This one has one of the best scabbards you would hope to find. the grip has a crack and chip on the lower reverse, which is unfortunately common on these. You need a special tool to take these down, and most people just gave the pommel a good crank to try and loosen it and cause the grip to crack. The pommel on this one is in good shape but is missing the center cap. Upon inspection, the inner brass lock nut is un touched, insuring that the dagger was never messed with. Due to the grip damage, there is play in the handle but the dagger isn’t falling apart and will display nicely from the front side. The blade has a small nick in it which is so small its hard to show. The blade shows light superficial oxidation that is typical, but no rust or pitting. Over all, a nice option to fill your space until a nicer one presents itself. Not a bad option for half the price of a perfect example.
