SMGL-2153 Police Degen by Krebs *SOLD

This Degen is your basic pattern and has had some rust that was professionally removed from the blade. The blade has a dull speckled or “peppered” appearance. Oddly enough, due the even pattern that the oxidation took on, the blade after restoration looks rather handsome, although its clearly not as it would have left the factory. There is some moderate oxidation on the rest of the hilt and guard as well. The grip shows an average amount of wear and the wire is still securely in place. The eagle is an early type with the copper color showing through. The lower portion of the “D” guard or hilt has the “SS” acceptance or proof mark. The same mark is on the scabbard throat as well. The scabbard is in relatively good shape, with a small dent and an average amount of oxidation to the original paint job. All the dome head screws are in great shape. Over all, considering that police degens are selling for well over 1,000 bucks with “good” blades, I think this is a pretty good deal.
