SMGL-2271 Iron Cross 1st class Souval Frame *SOLD

This is a nice salty cross that came out of a recent stash that a vet hid in a wall and wasn’t discovered until a recent renovation! It The frame is surely a Souval type with the crows feet corners. The core seems to be another maker, as we see this often. Souval either sold its frames outright or partnered with other firms. The cross is un marked. The core has some wear and a few spots of oxidation and is magnetic. The frame has some un even patina on it, likely the result of laying in a bag with other war booty hidden in the wall for 75 years. A touch of verdigris at the 6:00 arm right corner.
