SMGL-2349 NSDAP Banner 61×36″ with photo provenance *SOLD

These common NSDAP flags and banners can really take on a whole new meaning when we have photos of he exact flag from the GI who took it back. I mean, it really doesn’t get much better then this! The banner itself has 4 tie ends to enable it to be vertically hung. It also has a property stamp which is a real treat in itself. This banner has an unusual construction style as well. The red background has been cut out where the roundel goes. Then the roundel was sewn on and the red field hemmed around the roundel. This is a much more labor intensive process, but it does allow for only needing one roundel to allow the banner to be double sided. This is the first of this style I have come across. Now, when you buy the banner you get two photos from the same GI (sorry, I don’t know his name so please don’t send me emails about it lol). One photo shows a different flag with a white edge. The other photo shows THIS flag. You can clearly make out the tie ends on the one side and the thinness of the banner can be seen via the silhouette of the GI’s behind it. If you are really picky about it, you can see the sewing edge characteristics or flat spots as well. So, the bottom line is you are going to love this banner!
