Generally speaking, sleeves and covers are very hard to find. Imperial german and WW1 passbooks seem to be very hard to get compared to their Nazi era equivalents. This Militair Pass sleeve jacket is dated 1904 with a Soldbuch dated up to 1906. The soldbuch is interesting in that the front and back covers have been “protected” by an additional blue paper layer. Much like how we would use brown paper bags to make book covers for school book as kids. It is not glued, so you can remove it to see the from cover with Rudolf Fugemann’s info all filled out.
