Description

This US uniform has been kept in impeccable condition. The whole thing was dry cleaned many years ago and has been in storage until the vets family decided to part with it. The shirt, pants and jacket are all named “Peek”. I do not know his first name. The uniform is complete with 99th division and European theater of operations insignia. Under the ETO patch we see “Oise” which indicates he was in France. The collar disk is Ordinance, as well as one of his overseas caps. Speaking of overseas caps, you also get his light blue piped infantry cap and two blue/gold aircorps caps. This man, from what I was told was also a pilot and we have his goggles being sold as a separate listing. Also on the uniform is his ruptured duck patch, period correct ribbon bar, sterling marked combat infantry badge, great condition T2 chevrons and 18 month overseas stripes on the arm. This guy must have had some great stories being a pilot and earning his combat infantry badge! The jacket is a 36R and is in stellar condition. The undershirt still has the crease marks from when it was last starched and press many years ago. You will also get the laundry service blue wrapper that was one the shirt when we got it. The pants are fantastic condition wise as well. The visor is the only visible concern, as the bill has begun to separate from the linger and hat. Upon inspection, there is no ripping to the fabric or bill, just the black stitching came un done. This should be an easy repair for a good tailor or even shoe repair shop. So, you get: Jacket, Shirt, Tie, pants, 4 overseas caps and a EM visor. A very sharp display indeed!
