SMGL-2489 Puma No. 3 Sword *SOLD

Out of stock

These Puma Model No.3 swords are nice and light due to the aluminum hilt and guard. The aluminum appears to be first anodized and then gilded to achieve a longer lasting finish. This example has most of its original finish remaining. The condition of the hilt and guard is excellent overall, but there is a noticeable wear mark on the upper edge of the left eagle wing. The grip wire is a tiny bit loose but is in place and looks great with no worry of the wire slipping off the ribs and looking sloppy. The scabbard finish is original and in decent shape, but we do see some oxidation that’s rather light overall. The chrome blade bears the puma head in rotated square style maker mark from this firm. Also, “No 3” on the opposite side. The blade is 34.5 inches in length. There is a small curl to the tip, barely noticeable until you run your finger down the edge. There are two small dings to the edge with some minor spots of oxidation. Overall, not a bad looking blade at all but also not perfect. These are ornately designed and detailed from the guard to the back of the handle. You really get a lot of sword for your money here.

These swords remain a great value with excellent upside long term investment potential.
