SMGL-272 Panzer Assault Badge in Silver by Adolf Scholze *SOLD

These A/S badges are usually higher quality then some of the other firms, and here we see why. The bright white silver finish on this example is really something special. Now there are some spots where the oxidation has flaked the finish off, which is unfortunate but not off setting. Careful examination of this badge shows that A/S must have known that zinc was problematic with finish durability, so they put some finishes on super heavy to try and increase longevity. It worked on this one, but the zinc still managed to oxidize and pop some of the heavy finish off.
An interesting study for sure. sure to be one of the most stand out badges in your collection.
